Nana

THE rave granny. Even though she is old and grey Nana still thinks she is back in the day. She thinks “I can still give you young’uns a run for your money”. Sadly she now mostly just gets the runs.

Anna

Anna’s earliest memories include her mother stuffing and mounting a dead reindeer, spraying it day glow yellow and proudly displaying her efforts in her front window at home. Hence Anna’s love of bright colours fairy lights and anything day glow yellow.

The Lady Wilma

A lifelong drag devotee. A glamorous shoulder to cry on. Friend to the stars (Dale Winton especially) yet still retaining the common touch. Wilma is always there at each and every A list event. Looking fab and every inch a star herself.

Meet and Greet

Born only recently as conjoined twins. These two are Garlands formidable door whores. So close they are actually joined at the hip and if they don’t like you, or so much as raise an eyebrow, your chances of entering Garlands hallowed halls are nil. Head to toe in Lynn Gum couture, they see everything in Black and white- there are no grey areas.

Lil the Garlands Clown

The morning after. We all know that feeling of remorse, cringe, loss or shame the next day at work or college. But don’t worry, you can tell all your friends and family that it wasn’t you, “Garlands made me do it!!!” You can bet your life that Lil the Garlands clown was there. So when you wake up in a strange bed covered in Garlands stickers and glitter galore, you know it was the Garlands clown!!

Bernie the Stilt Walker a.k.a The Gimp

Always at the front of every Garlands parade and the last to leave Bedlam’s dance floor at twisted o’clock on Sunday morning. Bernie, grave digger by day and digging raves all night. Bernie the gimp is Garlands’ Peter Pan, some kind of demented elf. Bernie latterly dances where lesser mortals fear to tread.

Marky J

Mark has been in and around club land forever and at Garlands since it was born. He takes his inspiration from carry on films, hammer horror, Avant garde fashion, pop culture and world religions.
He  says “the geek, the freak, the chic, the unique, the homo, the hetro, the don’t know and the don’t care, that is why we do it”.
